Every quality reusable straw straw sold in our store is free of bpa and other harmful chemicals.  Our reusable silicone straws are made from food grade, FDA (US standards) and LFGB (German standards) approved silicone. S1S stainless steel straws are made from high quality, FDA approved 18/8 stainless steel - plastic free and bpa-free.  After testing and reviewing numerous samples, we chose a manufacturer in Shanghai, China offering material certifications. 

Each of our products are dishwasher safe.  We do recommend hand-washing to extend the life as, with most dishwasher safe products, continued cycles through the dishwasher can slowly cause damage.  Every order ships with a stainless steel cleaning brush for cleaning by hand.  As silicone and stainless steel can handle extreme temperatures, unlike plastic, our straws can be sterilized by placing in boiling water.

Absolutely.  The US National Park Service estimates through the Be Straw Free campaign 1.6 disposable straws are used by the average American each day.  One individual replacing plastic straw usage with a high quality reusable straw has the potential to save 584 straws per year…and that's just one person.  Imagine the combined impact we could have on disposable straws.  While we focus on straws, our hope is that this is merely a tiny first step that encourages sustainability and the reduction of waste in other avenues as well.

We package each order by hand when received.  We strive to have your S1S straws in the mail and on the way within 24 hours.  Please recycle or reuse our shipping boxes.  Neat fact: Made from 100% recycled material, our shipping envelopes contain a second sealing tape so they can be used again.

We love to use our silicone and stainless steel straws along 20oz and 30oz reusable cups.  Rarely will you find us without this combo.  Each of our straws are sized to fit perfectly alongside 30 oz tumblers from Yeti, RTIC, BEAST, among many others.  Our silicone straws can easily be cut to a specific size with ordinary kitchen scissors.  Whether angled or straight, silicone or stainless you will be glad you updated that base plastic straw.

S1S silicone straws are heat resistant; safe for hot or cold beverages and everything in between.  After reviewing multiple sizes and widths, we choose one that is slightly taller and wider straw than the average plastic straw; one that works extremely well for drinks of all textures including smoothies.

SaveOneStraw stainless steel straws come straight or angled.   They are made of quality 18/8 stainless steel and if cared for properly will last a lifetime.  While our stainless steel straws can be cleaned under high temparatures, we do not recommend them for hot drinks as they can conduct heat.
